Welcome to Comilmart – Your Gateway to African eCommerce
Comilmart is a pan-African multivendor platform created to empower local vendors and connect them to millions of customers across the continent. To ensure a consistent, trustworthy, and high-performing marketplace, all vendors must follow these Vendor Guidelines.
This document outlines everything you need to know to succeed as a Comilmart vendor—from store setup to order fulfillment, performance expectations, compliance, and best practices.
1. Getting Started as a Vendor
Before listing products, ensure the following:
- You are 18 years or older or registered as a legal business entity.
- You provide valid government-issued ID or corporate documents (e.g., CAC, RGD, BRELA, URSB).
- You register with a verified business name, contact number, and valid bank account.
- You have read and agreed to the Vendor Agreement, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy.
Once approved, you’ll gain access to:
- A free branded microsite/storefront
- Comilmart’s seller dashboard
- Logistics and payment integration
- Seller support resources
2. Product Listing Guidelines
To create compelling and compliant listings:
✅ Allowed
- New, authentic, and unexpired products
- Accurate product descriptions and specs
- High-quality, original product images (min 500x500px)
- Product titles with brand, type, and key features
❌ Not Allowed
- Counterfeit or unauthorized goods
- Copied product images from other sites
- Vague or misleading descriptions
- Products listed in the wrong category

Key Tip: Ensure your listings are searchable and descriptive. Use keywords your buyers might search for, such as “Men’s Leather Sandals – Brown – Size 44.”
3. Inventory Management
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate stock levels
- Marking products out of stock when unavailable
- Promptly updating pricing, promotions, or product changes
- Keeping track of seasonal demand, especially during events like:
- Black Friday
- Back-to-School
- Christmas & New Year
- Eid / Ramadan
- Independence Day Sales
4. Order Fulfillment & Shipping
All orders must be processed within 24–72 hours of receipt.
Two Fulfillment Models:
| Model | Description |
| Vendor Delivery | You handle packaging and shipping via your chosen courier. |
| Comilmart Logistics | We assign orders to verified partners like Aku Logistics, GIG, Sendy, etc. |
Packaging Requirements:
- Clean, branded (if possible) packaging
- Secured sealing (tamper-proof if electronics or fragile)
- Include invoice and product tag
Late deliveries, incorrect items, or poor packaging can affect your vendor rating.
5. Returns & Dispute Resolution
Standard Return Policy:
- 7–14 days return window based on category
- Products must be returned in original condition and packaging
Valid Reasons for Return:
- Wrong item delivered
- Damaged product
- Defective or malfunctioning item
- Item not as described/listed
You must respond to return requests within 48 hours. Vendors refusing valid returns may be penalized or delisted.
All disputes are resolved through the Comilmart Resolution Center.
6. Payments & Commission
Comilmart charges a small commission (2%–12%) per successful sale depending on the category. Commissions help cover:
- Platform use
- Marketing & advertising
- Payment gateway fees
- Seller support
Payout Schedule:
- Vendors receive payouts weekly
- Funds are remitted after order delivery + return window expiry
- Currencies supported: NGN, GHS, KES, USD
You’ll be assigned a specific Vendor Payout Day (e.g., every Friday) when your sales balance is settled.
7. Vendor Performance Expectations
Your seller performance is key to your visibility and success. Comilmart tracks:

| On-Time Shipping | 90% or higher |
| Product Accuracy | 98% or higher |
| Customer Reviews | 4.5 Stars or higher |
| Return & Dispute Rate | Under 3% |
Consistently low performance may lead to temporary suspension or permanent delisting.
8. Prohibited Behaviors

| Selling counterfeit products | ₦50,000 penalty + delisting |
| Canceling multiple orders | Warning + performance review |
| Misleading product images or titles | Delisting of listing |
| Fake reviews or manipulated ratings | Suspension |
| Harassing or spamming buyers | Permanent ban |
9. Promotions & Ads
Vendors can participate in Comilmart-wide events or run custom ads.
Promotional Options:

- Free Delivery Campaigns
- Sponsored Ads (Coming soon)
- Comilmart Newsletter Inclusion
To enroll, go to Vendor Dashboard > Promotions and apply before the campaign deadline.

11. Data Use & Confidentiality
Comilmart adheres to international privacy and data protection standards. We will:
- Never sell your data
- Keep your account secure
- Only use product & sales data for platform analytics and promotional insights
You must also keep buyer data secure and not contact them outside of approved channels.
12. Compliance with Local & International Law
All vendors must comply with:
- National tax and consumer protection laws
- Import/export regulations
- African Union (AfCFTA) and ECOWAS trade protocols
- Intellectual property & copyright laws
Comilmart will report fraudulent vendors to relevant authorities where required.
13. Policy Updates
These guidelines may be updated to reflect changes in:
- Law or regulation
- Platform operations
- Market trends or customer feedback
Vendors will be notified via email or dashboard before updates take effect.
